The GCRC nursing staff continues to be diligent in providing nursing
care to the research patient with attention to quality and safety in
practice. Encompassing both adult and pediatric nursing, our Bellevue
Hospital unit has 9-inpatient beds and outpatient space that includes
3 exam rooms and an infusion room in which to conduct studies. The expansion
of the GCRC to NYU Hospitals Center has further enhanced our abilities
to assist with new investigations extending beyond the borders of the
hospital. Our outpatient facility, located in Skirball 8Z, has two rooms
that incorporate a private exam room and outside space for short-term
visits. We can also assist investigators with the conduct of clinical
research off the GCRC units.
Our research nurses are trained professionals that can offer investigators
a vast array of technical expertise, that includes monitoring and critical
assessment of patients, and teaching in order to achieve successful patient
outcomes in a diverse patient population. The nursing staff welcomes
all new investigations with enthusiasm and support and thanks all those
who currently use our facility.
