The Genomics/Bioinformatics core provides consulting and software for data management
on GCRC projects that involve DNA or protein sequences, gene expression microarrays,
multilocus genotyping/SNPs, or proteomics. Use the form below to contact us for help
in designing an experiment prior to developing a protocol, proposal review, or for
consulting on the management and analysis of existing molecular data.
We provide access to the GCG/Wisconsin package of DNA and protein sequence analysis
software on a multiprocessor UNIX server as well as the GeneTraffic microarray database
and the Freezerworks laboratory sample management database. The GCRC can also provide
copies of desktop molecular biology software such as MacVector, Sequencher, DS Gene,
and GeneSpring. The Bioinformatics core provides training and technical support in the
use of all of our site licensed software for DNA/protein analysis and microarray experiments.
We can also provide help in building laboratory databases to track clones, primers, sequences,
and freezer samples.
The GCRC Genomics/Bioinformatics core operates as a unit of the NYU
School of Medicine Research Computing Resource
